Mum: 'She wanted to get high, she didn't want to die'
A debate in the Commons is due to take place examining the legalisation of drugs and the government's approach to substance abuse. Anne-Marie Cockburn's 15-year-old daughter Martha died from an overdose of pure ecstacy, which is also known as MDMA. Anne-Marie spoke to 5 live on what would have been Martha's birthday.
Anne-Marie said: "Had Martha known that what she was about to take was 91% pure, she would have taken a lot less. She was girl who was curious but she loved life and she did not want to die."
