Are Labour鈥檚 election pledges carved in stone?
Lucy Powell, vice-chair of Labour鈥檚 election campaign, says despite Ed Miliband鈥檚 election pledges being carved onto a stone slab it doesn鈥檛 mean he is 鈥渁bsolutely not going to break them鈥.
Powell initially said the Labour leader 鈥渟tands by his pledges and his promises鈥 before adding: "I don't think anyone is suggesting that the fact that he's carved them into stone means that he's absolutely not going to break them or anything like that."
"It was just another way of highlighting that, which is that he's a guy of principle, of decency, a guy who is tough and he is going to deliver on his promises he set out, unlike some of his opponents鈥 she added.
