Hoggard on Gillespie: He'd do a 'fantastic job' for England
Former England fast bowler, Matthew Hoggard, said his old Ashes opponent and former Yorkshire team mate, Jason Gillespie, would "need convincing" to become the next England coach.
Yorkshire coach, Gillespie, will hold talks with England director Andrew Strauss in the next 24 hours over the vacant head coach's position.
Although he believes Gillespie would be "fantastic" for the "exciting" England job, Hoggard thinks the fact that decisions on Kevin Pietersen and the team's captaincy have already been made by Andrew Strauss, may cause an obstacle.
The 40-year-old Yorkshire coach has spoken to Strauss on the phone and will now sit down to discuss the role.
