Mosley: I don't see Ecclestone’s F1 role changing
Max Mosley says he doesn't see Formula 1 boss Bernie Ecclestone's role changing "unless he wants it to change".
The Miami Dolphins American football team owner Stephen Ross is reportedly working with investors from Qatar to buy a stake in Formula 1 racing, including Ecclestone's five per cent shares.
"If it is taken over I don't really see Bernie's role changing unless he wants it to change," said Mosley. "He's the person who has managed to sell it everywhere. I'm sure CVC have had thoughts about an 84-year-old Chief Executive. The fact is there is no one else who does the job as well."
"He's really interested in what he does, he does it very well, so age tends to be flexible," he added later.
