Cavendish takes fourth as Greipel wins second stage of Tour de France
Mark Cavendish missed out on his 26th Tour de France stage win to Andre Griepel in Zeeland. In a thrilling sprint to the line, Cavendish was punished for his mistake of launching into the sprint too early.
Peter Sagan took second and Fabian Cancellara took third and the yellow jersey.
In an action packed stage which saw crashes, punctures and some extreme weather, Chris Foome gained significant time and placed seventh.
