After Raheem Stirling completed his £49 million move to Manchester City, campaigner Stephen Cross is aiming to get the winger on the face of the new £20 note.

Speaking to 5 live Hit List's Emma Barnett, Cross said: "It's such big news this transfer, you couldn't miss it [...] we looked into the £20 note, and they had this vote going on, it's a perfect coincidence really."

"If you're a Liverpool fan and you want to immortalise Raheem as a money grabber then it appeals to you, or if you're a city fan and you want to celebrate this record breaking transfer every time you get out your not out of your walet then it's perfect for you too."
