Care, Carnival and Bardon Hill.
Rupal Rajani sits in alongside Jim to start your day with the latest news and updates.
People living in a sheltered housing unit for people over the age of 50 have criticised proposals by Leicester City Council to open up the building to young adults. Rupert House in Eyres Monsell is one of four sheltered housing complexes in the city - which are being lined up for the pilot scheme. It would see young adults - who are supported by adult social care - being moved into a number of vacant flats, living alongside residents aged from 50 to 80 and beyond. More than 900 people have now signed a petition, calling for a new committee to take over the running of Leicester's Caribbean Carnival. Thousands turned out for the event earlier this month, but there were problems with queuing once the procession reached Victoria Park. Every day this week, we're going to take you on a tour of Leicestershire & Rutland, with a difference. A few weeks ago, I set off on a mission to try and see where we live from a different angle - the first place - Bardon Hill.
