Rob Beasley from the Sun claims that Jose Mourinho's managerial career at Chelsea is not a case of history repeating itself in terms of him 'throwing his toys out the pram' at a club after three years.

Mourinho has come under criticism after the first two games of the season due to alleged arguments with his staff and a couple of disappointing results - culminating in a 3-0 defeat to Manchester City on Sunday.

But a passionate Beasley believes that Mourinho's so-called 'three year cycle' doesn't exist.

"I know people are trying to push that it's the third year syndrome and that Jose always throws his toys out the pram after three years," he argued on 5 live Sport.

"He didn't leave Porto in poor grace, he left Chelsea after three very successful years...and then he went to Inter Milan and won the Champions League with another un-fancied team."
