King Salman of Saudi Arabia has ordered a full review of the country's plans for the annual Hajj pilgrimage after 700 people died in a crush outside the Muslim holy city of Mecca. Another 863 people were injured in the incident at Mina. It's the second disaster to strike Mecca in two weeks after a crane collapsed at the Grand Mosque, killing 109 people.
Also, what do J K Rowling, Michael Caine, Dame Judi Dench and a farmer from Rutland all have in common? Well, despite two of them being women, they are all Freemen of London! And as Freemen, they get some unusual privileges. This weekend, Rutland's High Sheriff - who also a Freeman of the capital and a farmer in the County - will be exercising one of those quirky benefits across one of the country's most iconic bridges!
