Today marks the start of the annual Freshers week in the city. More than 8-thousand new students are starting courses at the University of Leicester and De Montfort University. And throughout the week, they'll no doubt be getting a feel for the city as they try to make as many new friends as possible!
Also, a new support service is being launched today for victims of crime and anti-social behaviour in Leicestershire. Victim First is run by the charity Catch 22 - which won the contract to replace Victim Support earlier this year.
And, when was the last time you had a drink in your local? And what sort of pub is it? Maybe it's now a gastro-pub - perhaps it's been renovated over the years. Or is a proper old fashioned boozer with dark varnish and a choice of cobs on the menu. Well when Julia Want and her late husband Paul took over the Old English Gentleman on Ashby Road in 1983 - little had changed in decades. In the time since the trade has changed beyond all recognition. Thirty two years on, Julia is retiring and she took Jo on a tour of the pub:
