Rugby fever is in full swing across the country and this weekend it was Leicester's time to shine as the city played host to Argentina verses Tonga at the King Power Stadium. Sunday's game was the first of three games to be played in Leicester, with Canada, Namibia and Romania all still left to play. And with the home nation being knocked out of the world cup, some would say this was a great opportunity to pick a new team to follow for the remainder of the tournament. 大象传媒 Radio Leicester's Cory Holas was amongst the fans in the city's Rugby hotspots this weekend at the King Power stadium and the Rugby world cup fanzone in Victoria Park.
Also, calls are being made this morning for greater regulations on pressure cookers brought in from abroad - after an East Midlands businesswoman suffered first degree burns.
And, from today retailers in England will be required by law to charge a minimum of 5p per bag when customers use a new single use carrier bag. This brings England into line with Wales who brought the charge in in 2011, Northern Ireland in 2013 and Scotland in October 2014. In 2014 the number of single-use plastic bags handed out by supermarkets in England was 7.6 billion!
