Victor Bender's known Muhammed Ali since they were 13 and they boxed when they were young.

"We sparred for three rounds. Our fight was a draw. Nobody won the fight."

"He was determined to be the best fighter he could be. He was dedicated."

They've been friends ever since. And Ali was always determined to be the best. Victor says he remember's what Ali said motivated him:

"I want to be a boxer. Somebody stole my bicycle! I've got to find out how to protect myself!"
