Farmers in Leicestershire and Rutland say they've seen a massive increase in cases of a deadly plant which destroys their food crops - and could also prove bad news for our breakfast tables. Some farms here have had to stop working wheat fields for a year due to the ravages of "black grass" - a weed which emerges within crops and can spread quickly year on year.
Earlier this year, we invited 70 listeners to be part of our Big Switch event, where they saved an astonishing 拢27,501.58 in one day. But now, the Big Switch is back! We're holding two switching sessions next week, on Tuesday 1st November between 10am and 2pm and Thursday 3rd November between 2-6pm.
A couple living in a picturesque Leicestershire village say their lives are being blighted by inconsiderate and dirty thrill seekers using a local layby. They say they're fed up with picking up rubbish from their own land - which has been left by people stopping there for sexual encounters or a toilet break.
