Lethal Bizzle: Grime is ‘getting the recognition it deserves’
Fifteen years after grime music started, the genre has been given its own category in Apple's iTunes music store. Up until now, grime artists have had their music listed as hip-hop, rap and various other styles. However, last month grime artist Skepta won the Mercury prize and there's been music industry talk of a 'grime revolution.'
Another famous face in the grime world is Lethal Bizzle who has released three studio albums since he began in 2001.
He told 5 live Drive that grime music is “a real representation of youth and British culture.â€
“I’m just really happy it’s getting the recognition it deserves.â€
