Thailand's next King has 'sinister side'
Andrew MacGregor Marshall, a journalist and author, believes the next king of Thailand has a 'sinister side'.
The author said: "When he divorced his second wife and his third wife he not only divorced them, he persecuted their families.
"He's got this cruel, sinister side and if he becomes King we don't know how far he will take that."
MacGregor Marshall has been banned from Thailand and has written extensively about the country and its royal family.
After the death of Thailand's King Bhumibol this week his son Crown Prince Maha Vajiralongkorn was named as his successor.
The Crown Prince announced he would delay his coronation for a year in order to mourn his father.
