First ‘Mr and Miss Albinism’ have been crowned in Kenya
The "Mr and Miss Albinism" competition aims to challenge perceptions of albinos, who are hunted and killed in parts of Africa for witchcraft rituals.
The first "Mr Albinism", Jairus On’getta, spoke to Dotun Adebayo about winning the competition.
Jairus said he hoped people with albinism “would be embraced” and “viewed like any other person".
Witch doctors believe that the body parts of albinos can bring good luck.
