Beaumont: All Blacks will “give everything” to beat Lions
Former Lions captain Bill Beaumont has said he believes no New Zealand player will want to be in a side that loses to the Lions.
Beaumont told 5 live’s George Riley "To win the World Cup is the ultimate goal but beyond that I think beating the Lions is pretty high up there. Rest assured they'll be giving it everything."
The current tour is ten matches long and there have been suggestions future tours could be shortened. Beaumont, who is the current chairman of World Rugby - said "It's a question of balancing the demands of a European season; demands of southern hemisphere competition and making certain the Lions retain its place in World Rugby."
