Shirley Hughes CBE is one of Britain's best known illustrators of children's books, perhaps best known for her Alfie series (and let's not forget Dogger.) She is also a hat enthusiast. We visited her home to be let into her world of wonder: words, drawings and so our Jane Garvey could be given advice on how to wear a hat properly.
