Inwards is the alias of Kristian Shelley.

He鈥檚 a multi-instrumentalist and music听programmer who lives in a log cabin just outside Pershore.

He signed to Small Pond Records last year after capturing attention with a series of DIY releases.

His work exists in the experimental domain and draws influence from the far borders of dance music, using modular synths with acoustic and electronic sources to create a nostalgic and colourful sonic听palette.

Gaining a reputation for his absorbing shows, which are often complemented by听live visuals, he's recently picked up a lot of airplay on 大象传媒 Radio 6 Music following the release of his debult album last week.

"An incredible one-man show of technical wizardry creating sonic bliss" - Andrew Marston.

大象传媒 Music Introducing at the Hay Festival

大象传媒 Music Introducing at the Hay Festival

It's a pick 'n' mix shop that straddles the Herefordshire-Wales border and swells the population of Hay-on-Wye early each summer.

We'll be there again, this year, on Sunday, 27 May with some of our favourite handpicked musicians from Herefordshire & Worcestershire, recording four sessions for broadcast across two events.

Then on Tuesday, 29 May, 大象传媒 Music Introducing presenter Andrew Marston quizzes two of Hay's most prolific hit-makers about the science behind a No.1 record.

Alan McGee was the founding father of Creation Records, responsible for signing bands such as Oasis, Primal Scream, My Bloody Valentine and The Libertines. Alan was also behind a club night which saw appearances from The Killers, Kaiser Chiefs, Razorlight, Kasabian and The Darkness.

Jim Eliot has had seven UK top 10 singles 鈥 that鈥檚 the same number as Adele. But just who is this one-man hit factory? Jim鈥檚 written and produced songs for Kylie Minogue, Will Young, Olly Murs, Ellie Goulding, Christina Perri, Sophie Ellis Bextor, Leona Lewis, James Morrison, Rae Morris, Sigma and Foxes 鈥 and does all of this tucked away in the shadows of the Black Mountains.
