Ferdinand 'disappointed' at missing out on FA role
QPR Director of Football Les Ferdinand has revealed he's 'disappointed' at missing out on the role of FA technical director. Ferdinand was interviewed for the job but was told by FA chief executive Martin Glenn and current technical director Dan Ashworth that he wasn't the 'right person' for the job. Speaking to Garry Richardson on 5 live Sportsweek, the former striker emphasised he's didn't really want to leave QPR - he's got a ‘big job’ to do at the club - but the opportunity to work with the national team was worth going for
