German MEP: Why the EU won鈥檛 make deal changes
A German member of the European Parliament has said that a 鈥渓ack of trust鈥 between the EU and the UK means any clarification on the withdrawal agreement is 鈥渁 problem鈥.
Asked by 5 Live鈥檚 Anna Foster why the EU would not make changes to the deal, German MEP Gabriele Zimmer said it was because 鈥渢he majority of members of the House of Commons would not be interested鈥.
鈥淭hey鈥檝e decided before that they [don鈥檛 want] to accept the withdrawal agreement 鈥 so what should we offer again? It was not possible to get a common agreement,鈥 she said.
