Tennis champion Ash Barty has told ´óÏó´«Ã½ 5 Live Sportsweek that cricket taught her about 'life in general'.

After becoming a junior tennis star, Barty switched sports to cricket, only to return to professional tennis three years ago.

This year, Barty won the French Open and became the world number one ranked player.

Despite this success, the Australian credits her time in cricket with teaching her important life skills, all part of her inspirational journey in sport.
