HMP Bronzefield inmates Mia & Lorraine speak about their education in prison which allowed them to move forward.

鈥淚鈥檓 surprised at myself how far I鈥檝e come,鈥� Lorraine said.

One of the prison tutor鈥檚 Linda sees the benefits of education from behind bars to the outside world.

鈥淧eople think literacy is reading and writing, it鈥檚 not, it鈥檚 a life skill,鈥� she said.

They were speaking to 5 Live as part of the station鈥檚 adult literacy campaign, Word Matters campaign.
