DJ Spoony: Neighbour’s message ‘inspired me’ in lockdown
DJ Spoony read out loud a note he received from a neighbour during lockdown, thanking him for the music he had been playing.
The radio presenter, whose real name is Jonathan Joseph, was taking part in the Word Matters: Read Out Loud challenge from ý Radio 5 Live.
The station wants people to record themselves reading out some words which really matter to them.
Spoony said it was the first time he had ever received such a letter and it made him feel like he was making a difference to someone’s life.
“It really inspired me and also made me remember that I need to just keep cracking on and pressing on and helping out when I could,” he said.
