‘Were you a good adult child?’ ‘No, terrible! I was really bad’

We are all adult children. Maybe you’ve always had a great relationship with your parents, or maybe you look back and remember your rebellious years. But how can we navigate these changing relationships with our parents or our own children over the years?

Whether it’s navigating new additions to the family (in the form of new partners or even newborns), when children hit a crisis and need parents’ help, or maybe even when parents need their kids’ help... How can we navigate this transition?

Celia Dodd, author of All Grown up: Nurturing Relationships with Adult Children, and Annette Byford, psychologist and author of Once a Mother, Always a Mother, joined Emma Barnett on ´óÏó´«Ã½ Radio 4's Woman's Hour to share their advice.
