Andy Sheridan

Liverpool-born chef Andy owns Restaurant 8, which has been rated as one of the top 10 worldwide dining experiences by The Times Magazine, giving costumers a unique and immersive countertop dining experience.

It gained 3 AA-Rosettes, and a place in the Michelin Guide in 2022.

Having learnt his skills working at Abode Chester, he first started working in their bistro, before quickly being promoted to work in their fine dining restaurant. He later became head chef of Sosban in Wales, where he got the opportunity to appear in the competition for the first time.

After opening the first installation of Restaurant 8 in Birmingham, Andy had the chance to move the concept up North West to be closer to his family.

Andy’s style of cooking was often described as complex and theatrical during his first appearance on Great British Menu in 2008, but he is now returning to the competition with dishes based on simplicity and distinct flavours, while honouring each and every single ingredient used.
