Born in the UK, Louis鈥� mother worked in a wealthy mansion as a servant, so he was always extremely aware how the other half lived and always aspired to improve his lot.聽Through working as a merchant seaman, Louis sailed most of the world and developed his musical talents. It was in a New York jazz club that he was inspired to set up his own band and bring jazz back to the UK. He finally seems to have made it, by his own skill, determination and hard work.
Louis is a true gentleman: a serious, creative and sensitive soul, dedicated to his music and to leading the band to great things. Unlike Wesley, the band鈥檚 Manager, Louis is always calm and considered and fits in perfectly with London鈥檚 high society. With his intellectual nature and good looks, he manages to charm even the Royal Princes. Underlying this is a tough steely core, unshakable and able to deal with any circumstance. In London he immediately clicks with Stanley, through their mutual ambition and love of music, and this becomes a strong friendship. He is also entranced by the beautiful Sarah but perhaps Louis is too quick to trust his new glamorous friends.
