Meet Wynne Evans
Opera-tion Strictly is a go!
Will ballroom dancing be his forte? Opera singer Wynne Evans joins our Strictly ensemble.
Wynne has worked as an internationally successful opera singer for over 25 years, working with the likes of Warner Music, the Royal Opera House and 大象传媒 Radio Wales. He has had singing roles all over the world including the Opera de Lyon in France, the Metropolitan Opera in New York, and has performed over 200 times at the Royal Albert Hall in London.
Wynne went on to sign a six-album deal with Warner music in 2010, with his first album, A Song in my Heart, going straight to number one in the UK Classical Charts in the first week. He later was cast as the opera singer Ubaldo Piangi in the 25th anniversary production of The Phanton of the Opera at the Royal Albert Hall. In 2012, Wynne became a regular presenter on 大象传媒 Radio Wales and from 2013, presented a weekly Friday afternoon show called Wynne Evans’ Big Welsh Weekend. He now hosts The Wynne Evans show every weekday, and will continue to do so throughout Strictly.
In 2023, Wynne took home the Celebrity MasterChef trophy, but can Wynne win Strictly 2024?
