While Toby is never short of ideas, he lacks the commitment to get through the daily grind required to turn a business plan into a money-making reality. This ultimately led to the break-up of his and Rex's partnership schemes. He made a success of Scruff Gin but after just four years fickle Toby sold it on.
When Toby first became romantically involved with Pip, he knew Rex had feelings for her and a love triangle ensued. Now, Toby and Pip have a daughter who they co-parent and there is no romantic feeling between Pip and Rex. Toby moved to Stratford to join his father's wine importing business. He continues to be a parent to Rosie.

Rhys Bevan
Rhys graduated from the Oxford School of Drama in 2013.
The product of a military family, Rhys has found himself at the mercy of a peripatetic lifestyle, never staying anywhere for too long. He would probably call himself a Shropshire lad, however, as that’s where he spent most of his childhood.
Prior to university, Rhys spent a year as a ‘tutor’ in a New Zealand school, where he had his first real taste of farming. The rugby team he played for would help with some of the local sheep-dagging in order to raise money for the club. He will never forget the back-breaking, fingernail-ruining, incredibly rewarding process of dragging innumerable sheep around all day.
Rhys is one of three brothers. His two younger brothers are twins and all three are big sports fans, competitive to a fault.
