George is a British spoken word artist with an interest in social and political issue. He grew up on the Stonebridge Park estate in Harlesden, North West London, where he listened to Hip Hop and grime, but also discovered the poetry of Black Ice, Maya Angelou and George Watsky - "people who understood that struggle was overcome by talking about it". George studied politics, psychology and sociology at Cambridge university, where he decided to adapt his rap style into poetry to communicate more effectively with his audience.
