19-year-old Ryan has been dancing for six years. He lives with his parents and his three brother, and their two puppies. They have done most things together their whole lives even though they're very different.

He has recently finished his A-Levels. He says he feels like he has an alter-ego when he is performing, which is a much more confident person than when he is off stage. He gets a lot of inspiration from RuPaul's Drag Race, and is also inspired by dance styles such as voguing and whacking.

"It’s a big resource for me. Drag Race is 100% where I get my performance energy from. I enjoy styles that are sassy and confident, where you can be yourself," he adds.

Ryan has loved performing since the age of 3, though he was more focused on acting. He joined his first dance company age 12 which helped encourage his love for dance.

Staying true to himself is important and being unapologetically himself through dancing is what makes him stand out from others. "It’s pure positivity for me, I can fully express myself, show all my colours and forget any negativity," he says.

Ryan's other dance disciplines includes heels, commercial and hip-hop.
