Batjargal Bayarsaikhan

Tenor from Mongolia - 27 years old

Batjargal was born in Ulanbator and studied singing at the Mongolian State University of Arts and Culture.

Since 2012, he has been a principal soloist of the State Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet of Mongolia. He successfully performed as Jose [Carmen] when he was 23 at the State Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet of Mongolia. Other roles he’s performed are Manrico [Il Trovatore]; Alfredo [La Traviata]; Edgardo [Lucia Di Lammermoor], Vladimir Igorevich [Prince Igor] and Jamukh (Chinggis Khaan - a Mongolian opera by Sharav).

Batjargal has also performed at a Gala Concert at the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow, Russia in 2014 and at various gala concerts in Japan, Korea, Russia, Austria and France.

In the future he’ll be performing Pinkerton [Madame Butterfly] and Rodolfo [La Boheme]. He has received several awards at international competitions including the Grand prix at the K. Bazarsadaev fifth International Vocalist Contest in 2015, third prize at the Baikal Opera International Competition 2015, first prize at the Sharav Byambasuren International Competition of Music and Vocal in 2016 and third prize at the Muslim Magomaev International Vocalist Contest in 2016.
