Sophie began her career in publishing and became interested in books and manuscripts after she was asked to organise the sale of a collection of 19th-century literary letters.
She became head of the autograph department at Francis Edwards Ltd in London before leaving to set up her own business selling autograph letters and manuscripts to institutions and private collectors.
She is an expert on Royal manuscript material.
