When Tom was eight, he joined the Leeds Youth Percussion Ensemble and has loved percussion ever since. He is currently principal percussionist with NYO and plays regularly with the City of Leeds Youth Orchestra. This year, Tom gained a scholarship to the Royal Academy of Music and is also auditioning at the Conservatorium Van Amsterdam. Wherever he ends up, Tom cannot wait to further his musical and percussive enterprises with the hope of becoming an employable and well-rounded musician. Away from percussion, Tom enjoys mountain biking with his mates and walking his dog.
