Born in the vibrant streets of London, Joe's journey to becoming a renowned chef was anything but ordinary. Before donning his chef's hat, Joe pursued his love for graphic design at St Martin's, and even dabbled in the world of DJing.
However, his culinary calling proved too strong to resist. Joe's career started off in a humble pub in Mayfair, where he quickly rose to the challenge when the head chef unexpectedly left. Armed with determination and a strong work ethic, Joe embraced the steep learning curve of the kitchen, even concealing his disability to prove that he could excel in the culinary world.
Having honed his skills and worked alongside culinary giants like Gordon Ramsay and Tom Aikens, Joe's dream of owning his own restaurant finally became a reality in Broadstairs with the opening of The Table. Inspired by Japan, and his mother's Japanese influence, Joe initially envisioned a seafood-focused eatery by the seaside. However, his concept evolved into a unique small plates tasting restaurant.
With his innovative and inclusive menu, Joe continues to push the boundaries of culinary artistry in his quest to create memorable dining experiences, celebrating Olympians and Paralympians.
