Anti-racism protesters topple Confederate statues

Conversation about the Confederacy in the US.

Symbols of the Confederacy have become the rallying point for the anti-racism protests in the US. We hear from people in Richmond, Virginia, where protesters brought down a statue of Confederate President Jefferson Davis. And we are talking to Nascar fans about the banning of Confederate flags at races. We also explain the history of the symbols from the time of the American Civil War.

On the spread of Coronavirus, we are watching Brazil where reported cases continue to increase, amid the controversy of Covid-19 data in the country. At the same time, shopping malls are due to reopen in the major cities of Sao Paulo and Rio. We鈥檒l hear from doctors and those in the shopping malls.
