Ukranian band Fotomoto are in session on Huw's show on January 17th from 11pm.
The band are (pictured) from left to right, Sergey Sergeyev - instruments; Anton Singurov - instruments; Olya Volodina - vocals; and听Alexander Ivanov - programming.
John Peel faves Fotomoto started as a bedroom instrumental project in 1999 and originally consisted of Sergey and Anton. Olya Volodina came later introducing some French female vocal and lyrics, then Ivanov has joined the band on midi and drum programming.
Fotomoto describe their equipment as:
'extra low-budget domestic studio. The band has had three ancient synths, old Alesis drum-machine and a guitar made in the former USSR . Also not state of art PC.'
We love the way they write English, they rock.
Fotomoto did a Peel session in July 2004 and we're proud to have them back this week.
