Step out of the classroom and into the ´óÏó´«Ã½'s most advanced TV and radio studios. Our award-winning, behind-the-scenes tours are linked to the Curriculum for Wales and have everything you need to inspire and excite young minds.

´óÏó´«Ã½ Tours have been awarded a coveted Gold Award by Visit Wales and a Tripadvisor Travellers’ Choice award for the quality of the tours.

Students will have an opportunity to see what it’s like inside a broadcasting centre, and how we work at the ´óÏó´«Ã½. Ìý

On your visit you will:

  • Go behind the scenes of ´óÏó´«Ã½ Cymru Wales Central Square.
  • Be led by friendly, knowledgeable guides who share insider insights and little-known facts.
  • Visit one of the largest ´óÏó´«Ã½ newsrooms in the UK, packed with cutting-edge technology including augmented reality, virtual reality and robotic cameras.
  • Take a sneak peek at TV galleries and other broadcast facilities.
  • Have a go at interactive activities including the ´óÏó´«Ã½ Bitesize trail quiz,Ìýnews and weather presenting and sports commentary.

Curriculum for Wales (CfW):

´óÏó´«Ã½ Tours can provide an excellent enrichment experience for students which supports the six Areas of Learning and Experience. The tours can help students to:

  • Develop future career aspirations.
  • Challenge their own ideas on the types of roles and opportunities available at ´óÏó´«Ã½ Cymru Wales.
  • Take part in informative and meaningful activities that encourage creativity, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Understand the need for creativity and innovation within broadcasting.
  • Learn more about the societal role of a public broadcaster at a local, national, and international level.
  • Experience advances in technology within a work setting and within broadcasting and digital output.

10.30am, 12.30pm, 3pm
