We know how deep the Outlaws bat, all the way down.

Leicestershire need crucial wickets, but it's that fine line of how they attack this.

Notts have leapt on anything short and wide so far. That last six from Joe Clarke has gone on to the second tier!

    Smoked!

Joe Clarke skips down the track to Dieter Klein and powers him over cow corner for another six.

It followed an inside edge for four and an aerial drive past mid-off for another boundary.

15 from it. That's the Powerplay done with Notts in a good position.

  3. Notts 27-1published at 5 overs

    Nash 11, Clarke 7

Callum Parkinson replies to that big six from Joe Clarke with five dot balls including a close stumping shout. Clarke got his foot down just in time.

    113 needed off 90 balls.

There's no need for Joe Clarke to play himself in.

He's absolutely smacked that and it's gone a long way!

    Notts 27-1 (target 140)

    Tonked!

Joe Clarke gets down on one knee and slaps Callum Parkinson for a big six into the leg-side. A man in form.

  6. Notts 21-1published at 4 overs

    Nash 11, Clarke 1

We saw Sussex collapse to 95 all out earlier chasing 141 to beat Lancashire. Surely the same can't happen to the Outlaws?

Left-arm seamer Dieter Klein replaces Colin Ackermann and concedes just a couple of singles as Joe Clarke gets off the mark. Good start.

    Beauty!

Callum Parkinson pitches one on leg, gets it to spin away and Alex Hales is beaten and bowled.

Hales had struck a couple of boundaries earlier in the over - one a deft cut, the other a streaky edge - but it doesn't matter now.

    Just the start Leicestershire needed.

  8. 'Foxes need wickets'published at 19:36 British Summer Time 1 October 2020

    Alex Hartley
England spinner on ´óÏó´«Ã½ Radio 5 Live Sports Extra

Leicestershire need wickets which is why Callum Parkinson is bowling two overs in the powerplay.

It's tough as a spinner at this stage, but he's their leading wicket-taker and he's dismissed these two before.

  9. Notts 11-0published at 19:35 British Summer Time 1 October 2020

    Nash 10, Hales 1

Expensive start for Colin Ackermann as he leaks two boundaries.

Chris Nash biffs him in front of point and then sweeps him aerially to a vacant spot behind square.

129 more neded off 18 overs.

Spin to start at both ends as Colin Ackermann takes the ball...

    Alex Hartley

Brilliant bowling from Callum Parkinson, but it did too much which is why it didn't bowl Chris Nash!

    Great first over there.

  12. Notts 3-0published at 1 over

    Nash 2, Hales 1

Almost a breakthrough for Callum Parkinson!

The Foxes spinner gets one to turn away from Chris Nash and it scoots past the off stump.

    Three singles off the over.

  13. Notts 0-0published at 19:29 British Summer Time 1 October 2020

    Thanks Adam.

Quick turnaround as ever in this format. Alex Hales and Chris Nash are ready to start the chase for Notts. 140 to win.

Spinner Callum Parkinson to start for the Foxes.

  17. Notts Outlaws need 140 to winpublished at 19:24 British Summer Time 1 October 2020

Notts Outlaws v Leicestershire Foxes 139-7 (20 overs)

So, Harry Swindells with 58 and Colin Ackermann with 43 the two stand-out performers with the bat.

Notts were miserly with the ball in the powerplay and until the halfway stage pretty much as the Foxes could only reach 42-3 at that point.

A partnership of 66 for the fourth wicket between Ackermann and Swindells saved them before Lewis Hill (17) also weighed-in with 36 runs for the fifth wicket with Swindells.

A couple of wickets apiece for Jake Ball and Dan Christian.

  18. 'Decent total'published at 19:21 British Summer Time 1 October 2020

    Notts v Leics 139-7 (20 overs)

    Alex Hartley
England spinner on 5 live sports extra

140 to win on this wicket. It's a decent total. It looked tricky early on but the wicket looks like it got a bit better. With the batting Notts have got they'll be confident. But the last game they played, Leicestershire beat them. They've got that in the bank.

  19. Leicestershire make 139-7published at 20 overs

    Innings complete.

Leicestershire scamper two twos there off the last couple of balls as Callum Parkinson gets his legs pumping between the wickets.

So Notts Outlaws will need 140 to win.

Leicestershire finish with a competitive 139-7. It looked like being well short of that at one stage.

  20. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 19.4 overs

    Swindells c Hales b Ball 58 (Leicestershire 135-7)

A couple of boundaries from Harry Swindells off the first three balls of the over, but he finally falls for 58 with two deliveries remaining.

Alex Hales takes the catch down at long-on.

Fine knock that and it's given his side every chance in this match.
