  1. Division Two update

    As you've just heard from Dave Bracegirdle, Notts have lost two wickets at Lord’s this morning and are 342-7 against Middlesex and about to earn a fourth point.

    Ben Stokes's bowling not yet needed for Durham with Glamorgan 57-3 replying to 311.

    Tom Haines is out for 50 with Sussex 81-2 hoping to put Leicestershire’s measly 210 in perspective.

    And three strikes for Derbyshire so far to leave Worcestershire 345-8 at The Racecourse.

  2. 'Tough start for Notts'

    A tough opening half hour to the second day for Notts, with only 12 runs added for the loss of the overnight duo, both to Toby Roland-Jones.

    Steven Mullaney out for 92 to the first ball of the day and then and Tom Moores followed for 36. Liam Patterson-White and James Pattinson are at the crease.

    Rob Keogh has arrived to join the in-form Luke Procter and his boundary off Nathan McAndrew has seen his side to maximum batting points.

    A collectors item there.

    Can they be skilled and greedy enough to run up a huge score here and leave the Bears with a long road to a draw?

    Gorgeous.

    Jordan Thompson overpitches and Keaton Jennings strokes him past mid-off to the rope.

    166 to the left-hander.

    How many times have we seen that shot from Keaton Jennings?

    The left-hander simply leans on a ball outside off stump from Steven Patterson and steers it away behind point for four.

    Four overthrows then give Jennings another five runs. He's up to 162.

    Sunny and breezy in Bristol as Somerset look to push on and seal a dominant position in the game.

    10 more overs remain in bonus-point territory so the full five batting points looks unlikely.

    Can the Glosters nick two more scalps for another point?

    That's Lancashire's 300 up and a third batting bonus point.

    Yorkshire need an early wicket. Steven Patterson and Jordan Thompson are both steaming in, but with little reward so far.

    It's a tad on the windy side in Chester-le-Street. We are expecting gusts of nearly 40mph this afternoon. It is sunny though and feels warmish.

    I was wondering what impact the wind would have on the bowlers but we saw the first wicket of the day at the start of the second over. Durham skipper Scott Borthwick took a diving catch at second slip to see off David Lloyd after he edged a delivery from Chris Rushworth.

    Lloyd, the Glamorgan captain and opener, made nine.

    Another Surrey batter falls in the 90s.

    Matt Quinn finds Ben Foakes' outside edge with a ball that nips away and Ollie Robinson takes a sharp catch behind the stumps.

    Ollie Pope and Foakes have now both gone just short of their tons.

    Another Division One side who dominated the opening day of their game were Surrey.

    Led by half-centuries from Ollie Pope, Ryan Patel and Ben Foakes, who's now unbeaten on 90, they look set for a mammoth first-innings score.

    Nightwatchman Jamie Overton is with Foakes in the middle at Beckenham.

    It's cool and overcast at Headingley as Jordan Thompson gets things under way for the hosts.

  16. Jennings leads Red Rose dominance

    When Lancashire were wobbling on 12-2 early on day one at Headingley there was little sign of things to come.

    Then Keaton Jennings and Steven Croft went about dismantling the home attack, sharing 237 runs for the third wicket, and putting the Red Rose county in a position of dominance.

    Croft eventually went for 104, but Jennings will resume on 150 this morning. Lancs will want to continue piling on the runs and bat their fierce rivals out of the game.
