Harry Brook looks fairly relaxed as he attempts to find some rhythm out in the middle. However, he's unsettled by a bouncer from Oshane Thomas which thumps into his lower waist prompting a stifled 'ouch'.

Brook regains his composure to pick up two runs off the final ball of the over with a punch through backward point.

Gudakesh Motie, who has 2-19, is getting plenty of turn and tossing it up. He looks a wicket-taking threat for the West Indies here.

Will Jacks and Harry Brook happy with a single apiece off his fifth over.

Will Jacks needs to show maturity with his strokeplay now, you sense, as he is joined by Harry Brook.

There's plenty of time and if Jacks bats through England will win this easily.

Jacks happy to see off five dots in Oshane Thomas' third over - including digging out a yorker from the seamer's last ball.

Tempted fate by talking up Ben Duckett's sweep shot...

He's through the sweep too early to a delivery which spun from Gudakesh Motie, and the ball spoons up after catching his glove.

West Indies wicketkeeper Shai Hope does well to get into position down the leg side to claim the catch.

  5. Eng 82-2published at 12 overs

Will Jacks is a lucky boy as he thinks there's a single, backs up a fair distance at the non-striker's end, but is sent back by Ben Duckett.

He's well short of his ground, but the throw from the fielder strikes him instead of the stumps.

Not quite how Will Jacks would have liked to have got to fifty as he reaches a 43-ball half-century with an inside edge off Oshane Thomas.

Ben Duckett, the best sweeper since Franz Beckenbauer, is England's new batter.

He is off the mark with a single off the seamer Oshane Thomas.

Plenty of sights, sounds and smells at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium. Watching cricket in the West Indies is really a unique experience.

Dragged on. Zak Crawley chases a wide one from Gudakesh Motie, which is given a bit of air, but can only bottom edge it on to his stumps.

Crawley was down on knee, attempting to whip that into the leg side.

A pretty ugly dismissal. Not that Motie seems remotely bothered as he punches in the air in celebration. Have West Indies given themselves a bit of a sniff here?

Oshane Thomas, who stands at 6ft 6in, is into the attack for West Indies.

Offered a little bit of width Will Jacks tees off to his third ball but it's a fresh air shot.

However, the next ball it's the same shot and this time Jacks makes contact smashing it over deep point for six.

Despite averaging 43.40 for England, this is only the second time Jacks has reached 40 or more in ODIs. The only other time was earlier in the year when he made 94 against Ireland at Trent Bridge.

  14. Eng 67-1published at 9 overs

Gudakesh Motie with an appeal, of sorts, after the left-arm spinner strikes Will Jacks on the pad as the England batter attempts to work it off his legs.

Shai Hope is not nearly interested enough to review it, though.

Motie works through his variations in the remainder of the over - offering flight, and a few quicker balls. Three singles taken from it.

Positive start for England, which suggested at times this chase does need some care.

It was a good ball, if a bit loose from Phil Salt. This will be just as much about the West Indies keeping their confidence and discipline if Jacks keeps going.

Will Jacks gestures to Zak Crawley that Romario Shepherd is getting the ball to do a bit off the pitch after the ball jags into this thigh as he plays down the wrong line.

Shepherd goes macho short next ball, though, and Jacks pulls it over fine leg - with more than a hint of top edge - for six.

That's the last bit of Jos Buttler analysis for now, I promise.

Zak Crawley is the new batter and he is off the mark straight away against Romario Shepherd.

Spinner Gudakesh Motie into the attack.

Cheekster: Can we stick to the game, and give up on the Buttler bashing? He's having a bad run but he is one of England's finest ever one-day players. And the best part of his keeping is the number of run-outs he gets.
