Well that was a white knuckle ride of a final day in Leagues One and Two.

There's been glory for Luton Town, MK Dons, Southend United, AFC Wimbledon and Wycombe Wanderers.

Meanwhile it's been a sobering day for fans of Plymouth Argyle, Walsall and Scunthorpe as well as Notts County who were relegated from League Two earlier.

Who'd be a football fan, eh? Well with that in mind, we'll be back with more final day action tomorrow when the Championship's regular season is wrapped up.

Today's results mean we know the line-up for the play-offs.

Charlton's big win over Rochdale means there is a heavyweight clash between Portsmouth and Sunderland in the third tier.

Mansfield have had to settle for a place in the League Two play-offs after defeat at MK Dons saw them drop out of the top three earlier today.

The first legs will take place as follows;

League Two:

• Newport v Mansfield (Thursday, 9 May, 19:45 BST)
• Tranmere v Forest Green (Friday, 10 May, 19:45 BST)

League One:

• Sunderland v Portsmouth (Saturday, 11 May, 19:30 BST)
• Doncaster v Charlton (Sunday, 12 May, 12:15 BST)

Here's how the top of League One finished up.

Luton go up as champions, while Doncaster stay in sixth courtesy of a 2-0 win over Coventry.

• Luton Town seal the title after beating Oxford 3-1
• Doncaster Rovers grab the final play-off spot courtesy of victory over Coventry
• Southend striker Stephen Humphrys comes off the bench to score winner against Sunderland and help the Shrimpers stay up on goal difference
• Plymouth and Scunthorpe both relegated as Argyle beat Iron 3-2
• Walsall also drop into League Two after 0-0 stalemate at Shrewsbury
• AFC Wimbledon also survive the drop on goal difference after draw at Bradford

Southend defender John White told Sky Sports:

"[On conceding a penalty] Those things happen and it was tight. Those judgement calls come from the ref and I was gutted.

"[On his goal] It comes along and you just react. You turn around see the net and you're like wow, it happened.

"You can see the support we've got from the fans, they would have been devastated if we'd gone down.

"It shows what we can do next year."

Southend forward Stephen Humphrys told Sky Sports:

"[On his goal] I can't explain that. It's the best moment of my life.

"I thought if I get one chance, you never lose a striker's instinct. I thought I'd put it away and thankfully it fell to me.

"[On his facial injury earlier this season] I was told I needed six months to recover but I knew that 15 fractures later it was worth it."

Two other results to note.

Charlton's big win over Rochdale means they have snatched third place on goal difference.

That's after Portsmouth could only draw against Accrington.

It mean's Pompey will face Sunderland in the play-offs!!

Southend fans flood the pitch in jubilation as they stay up thanks to a dramatic final day victory against Sunderland.

You can see how much this means to the fans, who've suffered a rollercoaster end to the season.

Wycombe stay up on a final day where they never looked in danger of the drop.

Joe Jacobson's second half goal gifts them victory against Fleetwood.

All over at Roots Hall and Southend have done it!

They have beaten Sunderland and have sealed their League One status.

Freddie Ladapo hits the post for Argyle and then sub keeper Michael Cooper makes a save to keep it 3-2.

But both these sides are down as things stand.

Doncaster finish sixth and take the final play-off spot. Peterborough miss out, despite beating Burton 3-1.

Luton seal the title thanks to two goals from George Moncur and one from Elliot Lee.

It's all over at the New Meadow and Walsall have been relegated from League One after 12 seasons, following their goalless draw against Shrewsbury

Ivan Toney scores for Peterborough, but it won't affect their play-off chances with Doncaster beating Coventry 2-0.

Ruben Lameiras hits the upright for Argyle, but it is all fairly academic.

The Pilgrims need a Sunderland goal.

AFC Wimbledon see the game out and will stay up on goal difference.

That is barring three late Plymouth goals.

Travelling Dons fans come onto the pitch to mob the visiting players.
