I loved to see after the final whistle so many players coming over to Lena Oberdorf to give her a hand and commiserations. They had some tough battles on the pitch and afterwards take care of each other like sports people. That’s what it’s all about.

The thing that comes shining through from every single one of these players during their interviews is just how much all of this means to them and how humble and grateful they are to their team-mates, staff and support.
