Alan Carr

In 2001, Alan won the ´óÏó´«Ã½ New Comedy Award for Stand-Up, and City Life Best Newcomer of the Year. He has taken two one-man shows to Edinburgh, Me ’Ead’s Spinnin’ and I Love Alan Carr. He has his own monthly show at the Manchester Comedy Store, Alan Carr’s Ice-Cream Sunday.



Russell Howard

Russell reached the final of Channel 4’s So You Think You’re Funny competition in 1999, on his 5th ever stand-up gig, and in 2001 reached the final of the ´óÏó´«Ã½ New Comedy Awards. In 2002 he performed a two-man show with Matt Blaize at the Edinburgh festival. He will be performing his debut solo show at the Edinburgh Festival in 2004.



Steve Shanyaski

Steve hails from Stockport, and has been a regular on the local scene for less than 12 months. In that time he reached both the ´óÏó´«Ã½3 New Comedy Awards semi-final 2003, and the City Life Final. Other credits include the Comedy Store King Gong, and his role in the production/writing team for Amy Elliott-Smith’s ´óÏó´«Ã½ GMR show, I Should CoCo.



Jason John Whitehead

In 2000 Jason won the ´óÏó´«Ã½ New Comedy Award & was a finalist in the Daily Telegraph Open Mic Award.

He has taken two solo shows to the Edinburgh festival - Immigrant in 2002 and Serious Dude in 2003.

Jason has also performed at the Halifax Comedy Festival in his native Canada where his appearance was aired on CBC. He now lives in Manchester.
