Spanking New (Series 2, Show 3): 26th January 2004 @ 11 pm
Patrick Monahan
Patrick first started performing stand-up comedy as a 23 year old, in the summer of the year 2000. Half Iranian, half Irish and 100% Geordie, Patrick is a natural-born performer, exuding charisma and charm. He's also a funny man, a compulsive improviser and prolific writer.
Jonathan Paylor
Originally from Yorkshire and having lived in Islington and Moss Side, Jonathan Paylor has experienced the full cultural range that Britain has to offer. Staring at life from his unique position as a gay man who is interested in football, Jonathan is never lost for words. Having seen our dear country from every angle he is in the perfect position to pick holes in it and the people who live here.
Will Hodgson
When you're a ex-communist, ex-wrestler with a shocking pink mohican, people expect a certain attitude. But Will Hodgson's strength is his ability to weave a story that engages you completely. Drawing on his life in Chippenham, and his pristine collection of My Little Pony, he's a skillful comic storyteller.
Brendan Riley
Brendan Riley's stand up comedy is direct, friendly and brash. There's nothing bland or predictable about this comic - his Liverpudlian accent and lively stage manner give a refreshing blast of cheerful North Western humour. Brendan speaks his mind and the energy and appeal of his stand-up
style have made him a sought after host and compere.
