Martin Luther King鈥檚 I have a dream speech is generally regarded as the most popular speech of all time. King was a leader in the African-American civil rights movement. This speech was delivered on 28 August 1963 where about 250,000 demonstrators united to demand equal voting rights and opportunities for African Americans.
Martin Luther King was able to communicate in such a way that people were able to see the importance and urgency for racial equality. After this speech, changes were made to the United States Constitution that would provide voting rights for African Americans. It also resulted in the creation of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, which banned racial discrimination in employment and education and racial segregation in public facilities.
Many experts believe that this speech was so special because:
