A sound idea
There was a total of six pupils from Alva; Amy, Jordan, Hannah, Grant, Scott and myself, and I think it's safe to say, we had the time of our lives! It was a once in a lifetime experience and more than we could have ever imagined.
The production meeting was one of my favourite moments; I think we were all expecting a big table and a lot of formalities, but in fact, it was the total opposite, and it was a great way of finding out what to expect from the show.
Personally, I found it scary to think that a group of fifteen and sixteen year-olds would be producing a popular radio show on a Thursday night on national radio, but at the time of writing, I'm confident that the show will be awesome (I expect comments to confirm this ;) )! The production meeting produced an eclectic mix of music to suit the tastes of everyone at the meeting and hopefully, all the listeners too!
It was amazing to feel like part of the ´óÏó´«Ã½ team, even if it was just for one evening, and it was a great experience to be able to do something on the scale of 'Get It On'. All of us felt as though it was one of the best days of our lives, and we all enjoyed the tasks we were set.
Finally, a massive thank you to Bryan, Barbara and the rest of the team at the ´óÏó´«Ã½!
