Once Upon A Time...
Prince Charming?
Thanks for your great cat and dog suggestions tonight. We really enjoyed playing everything from Led Zeppelin to Lene Horne, and Devo's Whip It was an inspired pun.
On Thursday's show we're entering the land of make believe as our theme is "Fairytales & Nursery Rhymes". This could mean songs or artists mentioning Prince, Cinderella and even a little bit of magic along the way. Find out at 6.10pm if everyone lives happily ever after.

Ali Baba - Dreadzone which covers a number fo Nursery Rhymes and is an enormously good fun listen.
From the wonderful 'Biological Radio' album - those who have Spotify have a listen to the album there.
If this isn't in the library, I can deliver a cd or alternatively there is an older reggae version by John Holt - some other reggae artists have also covered it - but the Dreadzone version is my favourite.

The Land Of Make Believe -Bucks Fizz
I instinctively liked this track from the first moment I heard it, but couldn't understand why.
Years later I discovered that it was written by Pete Sinfield, he of King Crimson and producer of the first Roxy Music album, ELP, PFM etc. I later realised he's also written for Cher, Celine Dion, Diana Ross, Leo Sayer and others.
Well that's my justification.

well, there were six tracks I'd never heard before and I thought Fontella Bass, the Chordettes and Frank Sinatra were all less obvious shouts, so, 9.
Taking the best of Miss B's three apprearances this week (12) the scores now stand at:
Miss B 22
Richard 27
Mandi 30
Kirsten 21* (* one show less than the others).
If Kirsten appears tomorrow night, she might well regain her lead. If Miss B can't appear for a few days, we have two shows scores (7, 10) that we can utilise.
Half way thorugh the month, everything to play for.
