Is There A More Welcoming Sight Than. . .
. . . a sun dappled hammock, softly swaying in the warm breeze beneath a majestic old oak tree on a day like today - teasing you to drop everything at hand, encouraging you to put your schedule on hold and succumb to its seductive charms ?
I would say no - not for a second.
And that's what I saw today, as I pulled into our drive when I returned home from work this lunchtime.
So - what am I gonna do ?
I'm gonna go buy us a hammock because I may have seen it - but only in my mind. We don't actually own one !
Beautiful out there it is.

Hopefully things will ease off a little soon (I'd cross my fingers but that makes typing a little difficult) and I can return with more ridiculous game ideas. The one I'm working on at the moment is `Big Toe Bingo'. Contestants get a gamecard with the names of twelve celebrities on it - they then have to track down the celebs on their card and get a photo containing contestant, celeb and celeb's big toe (choice of foot is optional). Winner gets a selection of celebrity big toe photos.
Oh well, must go - take care all. Be back as soon as I can - promise!

Up darn Essex it is stunning, I have just spent an hour in the garden reading in the sunshine!
Have had a good day today if a little spooky! Decided to take the boys to an "attraction" about 45mins from us that we've just never got round to going to. Not knowing what was happening in the news, we went to the Secret Nuclear Bunker that would have held the Prime Minister and what was left of the government if there had been a nuclear war. i then got back in the car and heard the news that the Russians and Americans have had talks today about reducing the amount of nuclear war heads!
Very interesting place but am afraid i may have revisited some of my teenage nightmares. i remember early on at senior school we did a whole topic on Nuclear War, in english I think as I remember reading a book and watching films, gave me the proper heebie jeebies it did and I pray that our children will never know that!
Afterwards went to big woodland park in Brentwood, had a picnic and a lovely walk around, then finished off with an ice cream. it was so warm I took my jacket but then left it behind on the bench. Wouldn't be so bad but my camera was in the pocket! So now we're going to have to drive back to collect it!
Never mind, good day despite that!

JG, enjoy the lay in! If you haven't been to the dentist for 12 years you might find it has changed a lot
Beez, hope you're enjoying your wine and stroganoff now
Had to have pie & chips for tea cos I opened the fridge and there was nothing in it! Think I've taken this holiday lark too far.
Shopping tomorrow but not until I've visited my nearly ex-sister-in-law. Does that mean she'll be my outlaw-sister? I quite like the idea of that!

Ooh I'd love a hammock! When I'm a proper grown up and have a proper house with a garden I'd have a hammock in the garden.
Just watched the skiing vid, and would have to agree with the above: please get rid of the bum fluff!
I relly feel like spring is in the air today, and felt a real boost after the long yucky winter. Having said that I'm exhausted tonight after six busy days at work and am sooo looking forward to lie in tomorrow.
Sad to hear of the death of Malcolm McClaren, the world has lost a real character

PS Good luck to Chez and Nic, and anyone else job hunting. Hope you find something very soon

UC nice to see you back on the blog xx I too have a feet phobia though so don't fancy the "toe" game!
Despite being at home all day I didn't hear anything about Malcom McLaren - RIP xx

Seriously, he did wrong but it must have been very difficult for him to apologise. I don,t judge him because how can the rest of us know how we would behave if we were a world champion golfer with so much power.
