My Saturday night... 5 days to go
Hello there!
How's your weekend?
As we enter the last week of the alcohol experiment here's my Saturday night video diary!
Hello there!
How's your weekend?
As we enter the last week of the alcohol experiment here's my Saturday night video diary!
Hello and as far as most of the team are concerned "goodbye" as they head on their hols.
This is a strange work break as not many of us are actually ON a holiday. Rachel and I are both in the office next week. Chris is working on a secret TV project for the ´óÏó´«Ã½ and Maaaatt Fiiincham is producing Early Breakfast.
I typed up the "what the team are doing" blog this morning, but Rachel closed the laptop before I published it so we lost it. I'll try and do it from memory...
Chris is driving to Leeds today and then working on a special TV project for the ´óÏó´«Ã½, before working on ANOTHER secret project which you'll hear about when we get back in 2 weeks.
Dave is going on his honeymoon!!! Before working on a secret project which you'll hear about when we get back in 2 weeks.
Dom is spending the week taking his kids to the swimming pool and various zoos before working on a secret project which you'll hear about when we get back in 2 weeks.
Carrie is going to lots of weddings before working on a secret project which you'll hear about when we get back in 2 weeks.
Rachel is in the office with me working on a secret project which you'll hear about when we get back in 2 weeks.
And I... will be getting drunk everynight until Friday when I'll be taking my physical and mental test to see what kind of damage I've done from 3 weeks of drinking twice the recommended alcohol amount... and then I'll be working on a secret project which you'll hear about when we get back in 2 weeks. :) but then i've been working on this secret project for a number of weeks.
In the meantime here's the video diary that Chris was talking about this morning on the show that we took together.
I'll continue to keep my drinking diary in the Chris Moyles Show blog for next week. Also in the week I'll give you a few clues as to what the secret project is so that you'll know before anyone else! :)
Speak to you soon (hic)
Aled

Dear Computer Community
Dave here once again with one those blog writing treats. I'm afraid this is going to be the shortest one ever.
No not my latest marriage, but this online diary instalment which I've just remembered to do at 10.30pm at night.
I knew there was something else I was meant to do today on my list of jobs, and so apologies for forgetting about you. I feel I've left you down. I feel I've let you all down. And I'm not even providing you with any pics from the wedding on Saturday, which will come as a moderate disappointment.
This isn't to protect some lucrative exclusive coverage deal with Ey Up magazine. It's just that I don't know how to upload pictures yet, and I think Hoop Dogg might be in bed already.
Chris will finally get to show his friend John something and he'll be preparing for his night out with Aled
Dave is doing a load of washing and then packing for his imminent holiday
Dom will be presenting the (now worldwide) Oddbox
Carrie will be having a spring clean depsite it not being Spring and then sleeping
Rachel is feeling under the weather so will probably be sleeping. If she feels better then Rach will go to the gym
Aled will be preparing for his night on the beer with Chris tonight.
Hello Bloggerloggers,
Dom here again and i'll be honest with you i'm bored. The show this morning was fun and it was great to have the Kaiser Chiefs in the studio. I love the new song by the way and my son loved the fact they said hello to him on the radio.
But now it's all gone downhill.....
Here's what the team are doing today...
Chris is relieved that British Gas finally turned up - today he might just take several showers - because he can
Dave has an afternoon of non-specific business
Dom has no plans
Rach will be sleeping and then going for a run and then starting to think about her next wedding (on Friday)
Carrie is shopping for presents with her mother in law and then having a sleep
Aled is going to the doctors - (alcohol is blamed)
Good afternoon to one and all. Hope you're having a good day.
It's Tuesday and I'm feeling slightly rough around the edges today. Not sure if I'm coming down with something, or if I'm just feeling the effects from Dave and Jayne's wedding.
I have to say I had such a top weekend. We all basically decamped to a lovely venue just outside of London and had lots of fun. The sun was shining and the pimms was definitely flowing. In fact everyone had a drink during the ceremony....a very nice touch! It very much kept in the style of Dave and Jayne..nice and laid back.
Today Chris will be waiting for the gasman to turn up and fix his broken boiler. Again.
Dave is going home to look after Nicole.
Rachel is feeling a little under the weather so she'll have a sleep and then she'll go to pilates.
Carrie is tidying up her flat which is a pit at the moment
Dom's having his last session of physio on his ankle today (this was from the Foo gig last June)
Aled will be going to the Switch tour in Brighton...and trying to work out when he can get his 10 units in!
Chris is working on Dave's speech today (he currently has 1 joke in it) and then he's going to Dave's Wedding tomorrow
Rachel is doing the cake and going to Dave's wedding
Carrie is doing her nails and then going to Dave's wedding
Dom is ironing his tie and then going to Dave's wedding
Aled is going to be a judge on Mr Gay UK tonight and then going to Dave's wedding
Dave is... going to his wedding.
Four days in and still drinking...
Ìý
Sorry for the fact the screen looks wierd - I made this while drunk!Ìý I'll try and get it right next time.
Tonight I had
Shot of JD
2 Double Amaretto and Diet Coke
Double Vodka and soda
and a Cosmo

Dear Online Friends,
Dave here with my Thursday blog instalment from the world of pre wedding busyness. Nuptual planning is taking up most of my time at the moment, as you may have guessed, but we did today have the welcome diversion of our GCSE maths results to open which provided a much needed albeit disappointing distraction. I knew I'd failed at the moment I left the exam with an hour left to run having done only a fraction of the questions. I've decided that having now taken maths GCSE 4 times in total, it's probably not my best subject. Fortunately it's not a something you really need in everyday life, so I'm just going to try and avoid it all costs. If you would like to see the moment we came to face to face with this public humiliation and disappointment in colour, then why not click on the link below and watch away.
Alternatively, you might decide that you can't be bothered, and I wouldn't think any less of you. I'd love to stay and chat about how average the last week has been, but I've got to go and get Nicole's tea on and then carry on with the preparations.
Anyway, next time you hear from me I'll be married again
Wish me luck and speak soon
Dave
Ps Thanks for all the lovely texts wishing me and Jayne luck for Saturday. It's very kind, and you're all very very very very very very nice people.
Rachel | 09:48 UK time, Thursday, 21 August 2008
Well...
Chris is having a fitness assessment for a special projct
Dom is doing the Oddbox today - have you seen it, it's very funny!
Dave is continuing the A-Z of weddings - today it's the letter D
Carrie is going to meet an this afternoon
Rachel is working on the butter icing section of the wedding cake today as well as... the final sponge.
Aled is now off his special project and will therefore be back in the office. He's then trying to fit a gym session in before continuing on the Alcohol experiment!
Today on the show we were talking about Comedy Dave's forthcoming wedding to his lovely lady, Jayne.
We've come up with a list of people who, as it turns out, aren't invited to the forthcoming nuptials. These include amongst others:
Nicky Campbell
Former Radio 1 early breakfast show presenter Nemone
Davina McCall
Clare from reception
Morning everybody...we're just in between the after show meeting and recording the podcast links. So quickly, here's what the team are up today.
Chris has an appointment with a man about his generic satellite hard disc recorder/decoder.
Dave ...the a to z of wedding jobs continues. He's now onto B.
Dom is wrapping Dave and Jayne's present that he took delivery of last night. He'll also be buying a card.
Carrie is at home nursing her bad finger. She spent all day in the hospital yesterday.
Aled is returning from his secret mission and will be back tomorrow.
and I will be buying the final ingredients for Dave and Jayne's wedding cake. Plus I'm going swimming or going to the gym.
Dom's on blogging duties today so will write later.
Have a nice day now!

Good afternoon, it's Rachel here again. Thanks to Dantai2000 for pointing out my massive error in the blog earlier..I completely managed to miss out what Dom and Aled are up to today.
Dom I can tell you is at this very minute writing the , he's then going to take his suit to the dry cleaners in preparation for Dave and Jayne's wedding.
Aled is still away on a secret mission. As I've said a few times in the blog, he's doing something quite cool at the moment, but we don't want to reveal it until we definitely know it's going to happen. Watch this space, or more like listen to the show.
Hello! we've just finished the show and are in the middle of what we call the post show meeting. Here's what's going on with the team today.....
Chris ......yesterday did something with his girlfriend and another person. It actually ended up being 2 people. Today, after his meeting with Executive Producer Piers he's then going to do something he's never done before with his girlfriend and a bald headed man. The bald headed man isn't Dominic Byrne.
Dave is picking up his suit and then doing other assorted wedding business.
Carrie is going to the hospital to get her finger sorted.
Rachel ....I'm going to do some exercise, do stage 2 of Dave's wedding cake (it all went horribly wrong yesterday) and then go to pilates.
I'm doing the blog so will write again in a bit.
Over and out
Rachel x
Good afternoon to all - apologies that this posting is a little late - a piece of advice never sweep grass out of the back of the lawn mower when its still running.
Thats what I did and quite frankly I am lucky to have my fingers.
It was wet and the grass kept clogging up the collecting bag so I was continuously emptying it out. Then I noticed loads stuck behind the wheels so went to clear it away - cue unbelievable pain and lots of blood - I was worried I had lost the top of my finger.
Thank goodness not - just a big cut and will definitely lose my nail! The finger is totally black and swollen - currently wrapped up so makes typing v difficult!
On that note jts painful so I will sign off - in future i am askign Dom to mow my lawns!
Carrie xxx
Hi everyone, it's Rachel here. Aled is off on a secret mission. If it comes off, you will like it a lot. More on that later. Anyway, here's what the team are up to today.
Chris is doing something very exciting today that's he's always wanted to do with his girlfriend and a complete stranger.
Dave is up to his neck in wedding business.
Carrie is working at ´óÏó´«Ã½ London and then maybe going to hospital, because she had a gardening accident over the weekend. More on that later in Carrie's blog.
Dom is taking his car to the garage for a new exhaust.
Rachel (that's me) is going to be attempting phase one of Dave's wedding cake. (I'm getting slightly stressed about the whole thing now, but I'm sure it'll be fine).
As I said, Carrie is on blog duties today...
have a nice day now!

Happy Thursday and welcome along. Hope you've had a nice week so far, and as always tomorrow is friday which is good because that's when Pete Tong officially starts the weekend. I actually don't wait for Pete to start it anymore and instead start it myself at about 10.30am once we've had our aftershow meeting. I find that works better for me and allows a few extra hours of weekend good time vibe.
The good news is that a) i'm not working this weekend, and b) the football season starts for those that follow teams in the top tier of English football. These two things work well together, along with the fact that i'm also up in our flat in Manchester just around the corner from Bingo Central. Being only half an hour or so drive away, it's handy for Goodison Park as well as Everton kick of the new campaign at home to Blackburn Rovers. The pre season has been spectacularly unimpressive, so i can only hope that contrasting performances and fortunes arrive now that things start to count in terms of points. This will be really boring if you don't like football, so maybe i should talk about something else.
You may or not have heard that assitant producer of the show Matt Fincham is now officially responsible for all that is wrong in the world. This is something that we've known for a while, but now the rest of the planet has caught on, and a new craze of writing messages of blame directed at Matt Fincham on dirty vans and lorries has taken off. If you have the opportunity to write your own messages for Matt on a mucky vehicle (provided you have the owners consent of course), then why not give it a go? Also in the interests of safety, i'd urge you to only write on stationary vehicle,as this is always the safest option.
Tonight i might have chicken and salad and savoury rice for my tea. You'd probably think these three items might be an odd combination, but they do compliment each other very well and provide a tasty and nutritous meal. The chicken needs eating up, cos i think it might go out of date tomorrow, so i'll have to do something with it.
If like me you like chicken, especially the tasty tandoori or thai versions you get at a well supermarket T*SCOS, then why not let me know in the comments area below. I don't really care, but it's a way of generating blog responses and make myself look popular.
Oh i nearly forgot to say, i've bought my suit and shoes for the wedding. It's dead nice although it is quite expensive, and now i've just got to get a shirt to go with it. This shouldn't be too much of a problem as i've still got over a week yet. It means that Jayne will now hassle me less, which is good timing with the return of the new football season and all.
I'll let you know how i get on
Until next time
Stay Safe
Dave.

This is what the team are up to today.
Chris like yesterday Chris will be going for another run (3.5 miles yesterday) and then he'll be clearing out the front room again.
Dave will be communicating with the world via his blog and then he'll be "involved with business"
Aled is getting cold feet about his alchohol experiment. Tomorrow is physical exam day with the first drinking happening on Monday!
Carrie is doing Newsbeat and then having afternoon tea.
Dom is presenting the Oddbox today over at Television Centre in London.
Rachel will be attempting some excersice after her calf injury, she's then be making a treat for our guest tomorrow (Noel Gallagher!)
Hi there bloggerloggers....
An amazing thing happened on the show this morning. A major breakthrough, a mega discovery was made. Matt Fincham - assistant producer on the chris moyles show - is largely responsible for most problems faced by millions on a daily basis.
If anything goes wrong on the show, it's become tradition to blame Matt. This is mainly done because Matt doesn't get in until 9 ish and is therefore not in the studio to answer back. This morning we extended the idea slightly and had thousands of texts from you - the listeners - blaming Matt for all sorts of bad things. Things like falling down stairs, being sacked from a job and cheating on a girlfriend. Some even took things to a new level - click HERE to see some pics.
So - you know what I'm going to say. If you're having a bad day and things aren't going so well for you, BLAME MATT! Let me know what you're blaming Matt for and I'll show him all the comments in the morning. He'll love that.
Get writing.
See you soon,
Dom
Hello it's Rachel here. First of all thank you for reading the blog. Aled's on day 2 of his course, so here's what the team are up to today....
Chris has got to do some jobs that he didn't manage to do yesterday. So, he's cleaning the front room, doing a 3 mile run and then going out for a few beers later.
Dave is going to catch up on his sleep as he didn't have an afternoon nap yesterday. Then he might wash up.
Carrie is going to make some sort of morrocan lamb tagine.
Dom is recording something secret.
Rachel is going swimming and then meeting up with her good friend Rachael for a few white wines.
As I said thanks for reading the blog. Dom's on blog duties today so he'll report in later.
Remember...if anything goes wrong today...it's Matt Fincham's fault.
Over and out

Afternoon all, it's Rachel here again.
It's 2 hours since part 1 of my blog and the day is going very well. As I said in my last blog, Aled is off on a course for the next few days. He's learning how to edit video, which will hopefully mean we can post even more videos online!
The office is very quiet without Aled. It's just me and Matt Fincham beavering away on the show. I know Aled has been talking about his 'special project' in his previous blogs. I'm doing some work on the 'SP' today. Can't wait until we finally announce it. I think you'll like what we're planning!
Anyway....
Morning all, it's Rachel here. We've just finished the show. Aled's off on a course today, so it's my job to let you know what the team are up to....
Chris - is going shopping. He's then going to be emptying his front room. Then he'll be watching Leeds Utd play Chester in the Carling Cup.
Dave - is treating himself to an afternoon nap.
Dom - is having a day of rest and relaxation in the Byrne House. He'll be planting cabbage seeds.
Carrie - As it's raining, she's going to treat herself to an afternoon of watching DVD's and eating cake.
Rachel - that;s me - it's Tuesday so I'm going to pilates tonight. I love it!
As it's Tuesday, it's my job to do the blog today. I've just got to finish the after show meeting, so I'll do that and then report back later.
Rachel x
Good afternoon blogsters - apologies for the tardiness of this blog - Mondays I am a bit busy at ´óÏó´«Ã½ London and now have a few minutes spare to devote to the task.
Am shattered today after a very eventful last few days - I have to say our trip to Cornwall was so good - had a great time in Truro finding a fabulous pub on an estuary - then playing buzz and hiding from Matt - very childish but hilarious fun! We all want Rach have her wedding reception at the pub as its just wonderful!
Then a real whirlwind day the morning in Truro - a massive thank you to all the food that was sent in! Overwhelming!! Muffins, Pasties, Flapjacks!
Aled | 10:08 UK time, Monday, 11 August 2008
Today the team are:
Chris will be writing a blog as Friday didn't happen!!!
Dave will be involved in Wedding Business
Rach will be going swimming (again) but then rehearsing the first stage of Dave's wedding cake!
Carrie will be working on ´óÏó´«Ã½ London and writing her Monday blog
Dom has physio today where they'll be employing Ultrasound today!
Aled will be recovering from his birthday weekend by doing a final day on the "Secret Project" before going on a video editing course tomorrow.

Dear Onliners,
Dave here with quite possibly the quickest of all the Thursday blogs. The reason for this is simple. We're just about to leave the office here at Radio One HQ in London and journey to the far wild west of England for our summer outing.
Destination Cornwall is the plan with us heading to Truro tonight to do the show from the ´óÏó´«Ã½ there in the morning. Then at about lunchtime we journey over to Watergate Bay for our show live from The Boardmasters Festival tomorrow afternoon. We're on air from 4pm, but the heat really gets turned up from 6pm with the soundclash between me and Chris. Once we've finished, Cornwall closes, but get there if you can (and only if you have tickets for the Boardmasters Festival!) for what should be the best soundclash in Cornwall ever done by me and him.
Anyway enough talk. Time to go and get on the train and get amongst it. Until next time...
P.S If you like the blogs (not necessarily this one which isn't the best) why not comment on it in the box provided underneath? It's all about bums on seats with us and we like to have a competition to see how many people comment on our individually penned drivel. It's obviously not really a competition, because we don't do those anymore so if you want to say hello you know what to do. Bye.
Dave
Hi there bloggerloggers! Dom here. In about 24 hours we'll be heading down to the lovely place that is Cornwall. As I write Chris and Dave are putting the finishing touches to their set list for the Soundclash (Friday 6pm - 7pm). As they reminded me this morning on the show, those two are skilled DJ mixers and have even played Ibiza (a cupboard in the Ibiza but still.)
It's always nice heading out of London and embarking on a long train journey. I have a bit of a habit of cracking open the guinness as soon as we pull out of Paddington but I'm going to be reserved and sensible this time. I think I'll wait until we've cleared Reading!!
If you're coming down to the Watergate Bay show then we'll see you there! It's going to be great. As an expert weather forecaster I can tell you that it shouldn't be too wet on the Friday. In fact it may be sunny. Possibly. So bring your sun cream - but also pack a jacket in case it's not in fact warm at all. Just covering myself there.
Right - I'm going to record another hilarious episode of the Odd Box now. It'll be funny and will include a naked man stuck up a chimney (my parents are so proud of me).
Have fun, see you on Friday if you're going. If not can listen to the whole thing on Radio1 and there'll be lots of stuff online too.
Goodbye
Dom
A very good day to one and all, it's Rachel here checking in on the blog as Tuesday is my blog day.
After turning up to work very tired this morning, the day seems to be panning out very nicely. The show this morning was hilarious. It ranged from talking to Rob DJ about his diva strop...more on that in a moment....through to Dave & Chris and trying to make me feel better about putting on 6 pounds in 1 week. (I'm sure my scales are wrong).
Back to Rob DJ. The top dog, general bizzle quizzle will be joining us in Newquay for his legendary quiz on Friday. As the show live from a stage at in front of thousands (we hope), Aled and I want it all to look as well (as sound good). Anyway, yesterday I ran the idea of Rob wearing a sparkly quiz master jacket. It didn't get down too well and ended with the line ' we'll see on Friday'. I think my powers of perusasion will have to go up a notch so to speak.
Talking of Rob. Tuesday as I'm sure you know is quiz day. Thought I'd put the questions just in case you missed it. The answers are at the bottom of the blog.
1. Name the artist who had a hit with flashdance in 2004?
2. Which geographical location was the first word spoken on the moon?
3. In Sex & The City Carrie and Miranda used to stop off at 'Magnolias' to buy Vanilla flavoured what?
4. Which of the four main Balearic Islands is closest to Spain?
5. What is a line on a weather map linking places of equal barometric pressure?
You might have heard us talking about our detox in 2005 earlier, when we all attempted to stop drinking and shed a few pounds. Here's the photo that Dave found!
Right that's it from me....have nice day now.
Rach x
Answers:
1. Deepish, 2. Houston, 3. Cup Cakes, 4. Ibiza, 5. Isobar
Aled | 10:11 UK time, Tuesday, 5 August 2008
Chris has a couple of meetings, he'll then be going for a little run, ending the say waiting for a new mobile phone
Dave also has a couple of meetings. He'll then be working on the Newquay sound clash and some wedding stuff.
Rachel will be swimming and then it's pilates night so she'll be spending an hour on her back pulling in her core!
Dom's mobile phone hasn't worked since Friday so he'll be trying to get it fixed today
Carrie might go for a run or take the dog for a long walk
Aled is relieved that he met some big deadlines last night for the "special project". Today he's working out which bits he's forgotten and will be trying to finish them. He'll also be picking up a wad of tickets - I wonder what they could be for!
Well I had my first taste of proper sailing this weekend - have done it before when I was like eleven but that was in tiny little lasers and enterprise dingys - far less scary than a 35 footer! Always wanted to try it but its really very manic, so much to think about - ropes or sheets as they should be called going everywhere!
Mr Carrie's regiment The Queen's Royal Lancers have a boat racing at Cowes Week called White Knight 5 - if you get down there you won't miss it as its got a whopping skull and cross bones motto flag on the front!
Aled | 10:06 UK time, Monday, 4 August 2008
Will be doing this:
Chris is going home to prepare for a visit by Comedy Dave, Nicole and Jayne
Dave's taking Nicole to Uncle Chris and Aunty Sophie's house for the next leg of her 1st birthday tour
Rachel still has quite a tight calf muscle so will be swimming to release it
Dom is picking Fin up from swimming - he's swimming without armbands today so Dom's hoping it went well.
Carrie is writing today's blog as well as working at ´óÏó´«Ã½ London
Aled is working on the last few details for the two Newquay shows as well as a "Special Project" which may or may not happen.
As we said Carrie will be here soon to do today's blog.
Howdy Blog Fans.
So it's about 2 o'clock on Friday lunchtime, I'm at home and ready to enjoy my weekend. However, a chance meeting, which I suppose wasn't that 'chance' really as we both work in the same building, with Scott Mills and a new challenge has been set.
In last week's blog I said that I wanted to run 5 miles before my weekend of drink and cake. I managed 4 miles before I had to stop as the heat in the conservatory where I run was intense. I gave it 20 minutes and then got back on my horrible machine and ran a further 2 miles. So 6 miles done and I got an eased conscience for when I ended up having a couple of drinks later.
Good Times.
I bumped into Scott Mills today, as he is on 1 till 4 today because of the Ibiza weekend. We had a chat and realised that we were both free tonight so arranged to meet up later for a few jars. Now normally when you arrange to meet up with Scott you don't get your hopes up because he often blows you out at the last second, but I think we'll meet up later. We also chatted about training as we're both trying to be a bit fitter. And so the challenge was set, strangely by myself.
Go home and run 6 miles again, then head out for a well earned drink with Scott.
Bad Times.
So as soon as I've finished writing this, it's a quick change of clothes into my flattering running gear, and I'm away. A nice bit of training before a well deserved evening of drink.
So if Scott blows me out, there will be some serious trouble.
As for the rest of the weekend, I have no plans and that's just how I like it. The only thing I know I'm doing is catching up on sleep, which may sound boring to you, but trust me, it's heaven to me!
Have a good weekend y'all.
Chris
PS For legal reasons drink is bad and running is good. However one is way more fun and enjoyable than the other. You decide.
Aled | 10:05 UK time, Friday, 1 August 2008
Ever wandered what the Chris Moyles Show team do when they're not being showbiz on Radio 1? Well here's your answer:
Today, Chris is going for another run (he didn't run yesterday). He managed to not talk to the cleaner or the gardener yesterday and will be writing his own blog later
Dave is going to Manchester to see his girls
Dom is going to Ibiza because Pete Tong phoned and asked for him to come out. No, apparently that' a lie he's in fact making an authentic Indian Curry
Carrie is going sailing
Aled is choreographing a special live performance for The Chris Moyles Show in Newquay a week today
Rach is going to Brown Sea Island just off the coast of Dorset to watch the Merchant of Venice which Mr Rachel has composed the music for.
(Following Rachel's ridiculous sounding day...) Chris update - Chris and Dangermouse are going to Fantasy Island and are going to glide from the top of Brokeback Island and then taking the train to Peru. Flying back to Wolverhampton for a gig with his band The Dominoes.
And there you go.
Chris will (hopefully) be writing his second weekly blogs as Friday is Chris Blog Day
